Welcome to the Regional Hospital (RP)

The hospital remains still. The sound of wind could be heard rushing through the hollow building, creaking noises accompanying it. The lights flicker on and off as the shadows of the old rusty furniture danced along the broken walls, large strains of cracks covering its surface. The smell of moss wafted through the hallways, mould growing along the wooden floorboards. The hospital was, for the most part, abandoned. Except this time it was different.

Noises could be heard echoing through the hospital, not the usual gusts of wind or creaking walls. It was the sound of a person shuffling, waking up, and it was more than just a single individual. There were people there, getting up from their daze to find themselves in an unfamiliar place, in this strange hospital.

The hospital continued to creak, the lights faltering more than usual. The dark shadows danced wildly, as if excited anticipating the new quests.

Welcome to the Regional Hospital.

Vis lay sprawled on the ground, the uncomfortable feeling of broken wood in his back. Sitting up he felt sick, the movement making him nauseous. Taking a moment to collect himself, he looked around.
Where was he? How did he get there in there in the first place?

Trying to stand up, he stumbled stepping on to something. A large cracking sound echoed through the room, as his foot just crushed whatever was under it. Bending down to get a closer look, the flickering lights not being enough to illuminate the room. It looked like a plastic toy of some sort, or rather the shattered pieces of what used to be one. Inspecting the room, he noticed how it was filled with broken toys and ripped up wall paper. It looked as if it would've been a nice bright room, maybe something for children, but now it was dark, abandoned and worn.

Wondering and inspecting the room further, Vis grew even more confused at his situation. He couldn't remember what had happened just before this, it was just all hazy. Trying hard to think, he rubbed his temple, feeling a migraine coming. All of the sudden, he felt a sharp pain in his head. Clasping it, falling to the ground on his knees he tried to calm down. The thoughts were chaotic, and he felt as if his head would split in two, but he managed to remember fragments of what had happened. He remembered his foster family, the hatred, the fear, the disgust. He remember the library, the loss, the loneliness, the feeling of abandonment. The ending was still a blur though. He just remembered the feeling of giving everything up. The image of the sky and something quickly growing closer, he also remember the feeling of wind rushing past his body, but he wasn't sure.

Lying face down on the splintered wooden floor again, he decided to just stay there and rest. The situation was too strange and it had worn him out. Turning his head in a comfortable position, he stared as the lights flickered on and off.
Where on Earth was he?

Neriah stirred in her sleep as she choked on the dust in her lungs. She could feel the wooden floor scratching at her face as she tried to move, her arms and legs stiff. Propping herself up with an arm, her eyes managed to flicker open. The lights, though faint gave enough light to see that she was in a very spacious room. There were worn pieces of furniture scattered around and items littering the floor. "Quel gâchis..." she mumbled to herself.

Using a nearby table as support, she stood up, feeling a bit less fragile as before. "Bonjour? Est-ce que quelqu'un est ici?" She called to the room, but she was greeted with nothing but silence in return.

She made her way over to the doors, being careful not to step on glass or the other trash strewn on the floor. She tried pushing and pulling on them but they were entirely unresponsive, so she looked out the window instead. She wasn't sure if she'd even want to go out there. The darkness beyond them sent chills down her spine. She Leaned against the window frame and slid down to the ground.

She reached into her bag to pull out her cell phone. No matter how many times she tried to turn it on the screen simply would not light up. She had to have been asleep for at least a day for the batteries to have run out already. At least she still had some of the other things in her bag, but her knife was missing too. She tipped her head back to look at the flickering lights on the ceiling again. "J'ai une mauvaise pressentiment ..." She closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around her satchel, "Je serai là pour un certain temps."

Rosie was lying on the ground, in the hallway of the first floor. She was snoring very loudly but was sleeping like a peaceful lamb. She mumbled as she tossed and turned about, saying, "Dad...mmhmm...jeff you." Suddenly, she rose and her eyes opened wide. Within those seconds, she moaned and shook her head. "What. The. Flying. Fuck." She was not impressed. "Aaaarrggh, bloody parents, leaving me face to face with a gun, oh, shoot a gun at your own daughter, don't worry about it, Jesus Christ." She shuddered as she heard the hallow wind blowing in the crooks and rips in the walls. "I think...they forgot what a proper hospital looks like."

She shuddered again at the thought of her nightmare. "P-Please...wasps, bees and dolls..." Then she snapped into reality. "Drop me somewhere haunted, you creep. I bet this was my dad's idea. What a-" The door slammed, making Rosie jump. "Well then." She jumped up to her feet, rubbing herself clean. "I can't stay here forever, can I?" She went through the double doors of the corridor of a shop. She began to get quite excited. "Ooohohohoho, a shop. Shops sell stuff." She curled up into a ball, underneath the counter where the till was. "I cannot live in that corridor. No way. I'm resting here instead since I don't really want to go far right now...hmm..mmm..."

And with that, Rosie fell asleep again with the protection of the desk around her. It was true she couldn't be bothered to look around but the events that happened before she came scared her. They scared her well but she wanted to know why she was here.

Kafele lay flat on his back, giving no signs of life, until he began to stir a bit. He slowly started to drift in and out of consciousness, until his eyes finally flickered open. He shifted on some sort of bed, staring at the unfamiliar ceiling as he only had a few peaceful moments of ignorance.

The hazy unawareness must have lasted no more than a thirty seconds before his mind began to flood with memories. Images of his previous life, his home and family all flashed through his head. The last thing he could recall was passing out in the museum on that dreadful, blur of a night and how it was almost his last. This realization made his stomach drop, as he shot straight up in the medical bed, room spinning from the sudden motion. He clutched his stomach with one hand, head in the other, shutting his eyes hard to escape the nausea. He also became very aware that he had stuck his head upon collapsing back in the museum, the whole right half of his head throbbing.

It took a few minutes to regain his composure, trying to calm himself with slow, shaky breaths and pushing all unpleasant thoughts to the back of his mind for the time being. Once the spell had passed his eyes blinked open again. He took a scan the room; none of it seemed familiar, despite still being a bit dizzy. He was used to waking up in difference places than where he had fallen asleep, but this wasn't any room he had ever seen in the museum, he knew each like the back of his hand. This room looked as if it was once some sort of operating room, as it was littered with rusted medical equipment, lit by half of the flickering lights that still functioned.

Kafele continued to sit in eery silence, attempting to assess his current situation; where he was and why.

After a while of just taking a break, Vis stood up. He couldn't just sit there forever. He had so many questions, he needed to find answers. Standing up slowly, feeling sore all over, Vis looked around the room he was in. The room was dark, the only light source being the hospital's flickering lights. Investigating the room he noticed how worn the entire place was. The place looked as if it had been abandoned for an incredibly long time, the walls filled with cracks and floor splintered and tattered.

Vis jumped from a noise, not the sound of the wind but voices instead. Turning to just see a door to darkness. He stared nervously, unsure who or what the noise was coming from. Deciding to investigate, taking his chances that it was another person, Vis walked through the door.

Barely able to see, Vis was shocked to see it really was another person. A girl stood under the flickering lights clasping on a bag of some sort. He stood there nervously. He still wasn't sure if she was friendly, what if she attacked him if he walked up to her. Taking his chances, Vis walked up to the girl not recognizing the language she was speaking. Stiff and ready to run at the first sign of threat, Vis waved at the stranger.

Neriah decided to stop moping on the floor and looked around a bit more at the furniture in the room. It all looked old and tattered. The papers from the desk were scattered everywhere, they looked like some type of paperwork. Maybe patient records? Am I in a hospital? She left them where they were and wandered the room aimlessly lost in thought until she heard the noise of footsteps in the hall.

Neriah saw the shape of something moving toward her out of the corner of her eye, she panicked slightly, gripping her satchel, until she realized it was just another person. He was a magnemite by the looks of it, and looked just about as lost as she did. When he waved she happily waved back with a smile and came a little bit closer. Hopefully he'd be friendly, but by the looks of things he probably didn't know what was going on either.
I guess I should probably introduce myself somehow. "Bonjour! parlez-vous français?" She asked, holding out a hand, and hoping that they would be able to communicate somehow.

Meanwhile, Rosie yawned as she aroused from her nap. She shook herself from tiredness. "Well...this is looking good. Nothing wacky's happened." she spoke as she arouse from her feet. "Seriously, if this is a haunted house, they're doing a pretty lame job of it." She walked towards a door frame and started to wonder. "So if no one is here, why isn't there? Maybe..." She thought of the existence of going insane but secretly, she really didn't want that. She began to hold her head and, for no reason at all, started to smash items that she could grab onto.

Pieces of wood was flown into the wind as she went into a smash frenzy. After a while she began to calm down and looked around again. In one of the rooms, she thought she saw something but thought of nothing. Then she heard squeaking and a sort of low buzzy growling noise. "Hey. Hey. Stop dude, wow, Is anybody in here? Honestly....anyone?" she said, nervously.

After countless minutes of rubbing his eyes, pinching himself, and trying to trigger waking up and leaving this strange place, Kafele deemed that this was not some sort of dream. He let out a stifled sigh, and turning his attention back to the dim room, becoming quiet to listen for any significant signs of life.
He wasn't quiet sure, but the feint sounds of voices among the creaks from somewhere in the building reached him. That fact alone was reassuring, yet also sent him on edge, not knowing what these others might want. He briefly considered going out to investigate, but stayed planted in the bed in fear of triggering another nausea spell.
It was then he heard a loud series some sort of destruction close by. He sat completely frozen, not even daring to breathe until the smashing died town. Well, that settled it. Kafele wasn't planning to leave the confinements of the room for a while. He allowed himself to breathe and stir again, although quietly.
After doing another scan of the room, a medical cart near the bedside caught his interest. It seemed to be littered with needles, scalpels, and other small medical instruments of the sort all encased in rust. He began to poke and prod at the tools in silence for the time being.
