General Roleplaying Rules

PROFANITY is allowed
- People are profane, therefore characters can use profane language. If you are offended by profane language, forum roleplay may not be for you.

No Sexually explicit content
- If you absolutely must have characters be involved sexually, it should be resolved outside of the forums via PM, instant messenger etc.

No God-modding
- God-modding is using another person's character in any way that they did not authorize themselves. Describing another character's actions or reactions, dialog etc are all considered God-modding no matter how small, and are not tolerated.

No Power-playing
- Power-playing, min-maxing, abusing the system or simply roleplaying in a way which makes your character significantly more powerful than those around you is no fun for anybody, and more importantly it's against the rules. This is a horror roleplay, and part of what makes things scary is the inability to adequately defend oneself against the onslaught of horrors. A terrible, hideous monster which is easily dispatched is nothing to fear, and that's no fun! Remember to roleplay your weaknesses as well as your strengths.

No Meta-Gaming
- Meta-gaming is using OOC knowledge to the advantage of a character who wouldn't have it.
This could be knowledge of other characters' secrets, or events that took place in other parts of the hospital when your character was not personally there or had no way of finding out.

Pre-determined events
- Pre-determined events such as deaths, fights etc must be approved by all parties involved over private messages.
- A note should be included in your post that it was pre-determined to notify Moderators, or it may be viewed as God-modding
- If you want to propose a major plot point it must be discussed with the admins via private message or noting the group.

Spelling & Grammar
- We are tolerant of mistakes, and nobody is going to get banned over using "your" instead of "you're", but we do expect you to TRY. With that in mind, we WILL be doling out punishments to people who use short-form chats peak, such as "u" in the place of "you" etc.


Private Roleplay/Public Roleplay
- Please post in the appropriate sub forum whether your roleplay is public or private. If private please list all invited players in the first post.

Mature Roleplay
- If your roleplay may contain mature topics, we ask that you label your roleplay as mature in the title.
